Babies, patients and kids.......

There are two schools adjacent to the clinic.  The school across the road is a grade school run by the government - about 380 students.   Behind the clinic is a Presby grade school with about 330 students.  These children come not just from Kwahu Praso, but from the more rural areas of the “hinterland”.

We visited the schools and both schools provide a bucket of water in the classroom and 2-3 cups for 30-40 kids to share.  Problem.

Both schools will be beneficiaries of the treated water produced at the clinic.  They will receive 20L bottles for their classrooms and Rev Asante, Rev Amfo-Akonnor and I today decided to donate 1 plastic cup per child for them to carry in their back pack, write their name on it, and so on.  Cost is about .50 a cup!

Both schools had a couple of teachers in the 102 Heath & Hygiene Education class too.

So in addition to serving the mothers, babies, patients with diseases, hydration, injuries, etc - this clinic is also going to serve the children.
